The Moon :)

Please don't mind my continuous posting all of a sudden. It seems I just discovered how Lightroom makes you want to take and fix pictures continuously. Once I fix them, I feel like showing them to everyone.

(If you double click you'll be able to see it better)
A couple years ago I knelt outside, in the snow, in my pajamas, with the camera and the tripod...trying my hardest to get a good picture of the moon. My persistence payed off when I finally snapped THE picture. Actually I hadn't known that it was that picture that I would like. But a trip into Lightroom and now you can see it's features just fine.

It just so happened that I was studying the moon in science that year, so I was able to label it the best I could.

Fireworks and Flowers

We actually ended up going to see some fireworks the same night I said that we were (probably) not...I was kind of surprised that we went. But, we didn't stop there, Heather and I ended up going to see some more on the 4th at the beach (which, in my opinion is so much fun!!). I got to take some fairly good pictures of the fireworks on the first night. Here's a couple of the better shots.

And I can't help but share some (kinda) recent pictures of my favorite subject...flowers!!! These were taken earlier this summer.
(Don't you love blue and yellow together??)

Happy Fourth!!

Happy 4th of July Everyone!!!

A day early because we'll be gone to the park with my church on Sunday. What are you all doing (besides those of you who go to my church)??? Is anyone going to see fire works? I don't think we'll be going to see any, but who knows...:)

These last two pictures are of the Memorial Day parade, but I still thought I'd share them. The love the Great Dane!

Flowers After Rain

Photography is a way of feeling, of touching, of loving.
What you have caught on film is captured to last...
it remembers little things, long after you have forgotten everything.

I Need Your Help!

As the title says, I need your help! I was thinking that I desperately need a new title for my blog...I know you all agree. Because I love photography, and I usually only post pictures, I thought I should give it a "photographyish"/"cameraish" name.

But as you can see, I am NOT good at making up names/titles, so therefore I am asking for your help in thinking some up. I would love to hear what you think...:) And, who knows, the title you thought up might just be the one I really like!

This past Saturday I was able to help Mom take pictures for a wedding. It was pretty neat being the "assistant photographer". I had fun taking pictures on the side:). Here is a picture of one that I took (since I wasn't the main photographer I tried to get pictures that Mom wouldn't have time to get, so I got many of the flowers).

When You See This Picture...

...what is the first word that comes to your mind???

Daffodils

We bought these for Easter on the side of the road on our way home from co-op. I couldn't help taking pictures of them. They are beautiful!

"For lo, the winter is past, the rain is over and gone; The flowers appear on the earth; the time of the singing of birds is come, and the voice of the turtle is heard in our land."
-Song of Solomon 2:11-12

I don't know about you, but I was a little confused when I read "the voice of the turtle". So I looked it up and it really means "turtledove".

Silhouetes

Silhouettes...I love them don't you??? Because we live in the woods we are never able to see the sun go down while at home...I thought we could never be able to, until this evening when I looked out and saw an orange glow on the pipe line. I ran to get my sweatshirt and my flip flops then ran out to the pipe line. I saw the bright orange sun that was soon about to set, and then ran back inside to get the camera. I snapped some pictures, but because their were no clouds it was not the prettiest. For some reason I had this idea that if I was on top the next hill I would be able to get a better picture. I am not sure where that idea came from but I ran down the hill and up the next. I realized that it was not better but that you could get some pretty neat silhouettes of the farm "thing" (and weeds:). If you couldn't tell by the end of the post, I liked the chains:)

the LORD
is on those who fear Him,
On those who hope in His mercy."

there is no hope.

Fall Picture

Mom took this picture last year at Warren Woods. I thought I'd share since it is so pretty. I think, maybe a new post (more interesting post) will come soon.
